Update (0502): A lot of new beginner friendly levels!

I just uploaded a new version of T-Time! 6 new levels designed for beginners! And some other small changes to help beginners to master the game.


LEVELS:

In these new levels, I have tried to introduce one thing at a time, because I have noticed from playtests that for beginners the concept of teleporting can be bit overwhelming, or at least takes a bit of time to get used to using the teleport to move faster or avoiding traps. That's why I tried to simplify the levels a bit, so there wouldn't be so many different level traps taking  player's concentratation.





IMPROVEMENTS:

From different playtests, I have also seen that players don't always know that they will get their jump back after they have teleported (or they have been teleported). That's why I have added an indicator to show if player has a jump or not. The player number (P1, P2, ...) on top of the player character will be now green, when player still has a jump. And it will be red, when player doesn't have a jump anymore. And I'm even thinking, if in the future I would change the game that when player walks off an edge, the player would keep their jump. This could be an interesting mechanic! Let's see!

Another change that I have implemented is more about the default control style. I changed that by default when player joins the game, their jump height and grenade trajectory are fixed. So then you don't need to hold the button down to jump higher or shoot the grenade further. Now you will jump immediately the maximum height or the grenade will fly always the same distance. But if you still like the variable jump height and variable grenade trajectory (by holding the button down), you can still change it back, when you join the game.

And then there's some small adjustments how big the grenade explosion's trigger area is. Now the explosion will cause damage to players a bit further away, but for level traps it's the opposite (so traps a bit further away won't be activated). And the timing of the trigger has been adjusted. I have also changed a bit how the explosions work underneath the game, so hopefully this has fixed a bug that sometimes the falling spikes won't be triggered by the grenade explosion.
